The property for the Kolsurd Memorial Park was donated by Robert and Eunice Kolsrud family, to the Allamakee County Conservation Board, in memory of Helmer and Emma Kolsrud. This is a day-use park with handicap fishing access, playground equipment and a shelter area.
An additional area that has been added to the park is a section donated by Roger, Bill and Don Halvorson in memory of Vic and Ruby Halvorson. In the future the conservation commission plans to build a shelter on the old Sorenson building site.

Scenic View Campground was open for business in May of 2005, and offers some of the best camping in Northeast Iowa, Southern Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. We are a completely new facility, including a newly constructed shower house, access to the Yellow River and some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere.
Scenic View Campground expanded the campsites in 2013, doubling the amount of campsites that are available. The new riverside campsite will be available at a first-come first-serve basis.
We truly hope Scenic View will become your family camping destination.
